Sydney Bloggers Meet at Lindt Cafe

[retweet]Rah and Liz have already posted a round-up, so go check out their post. After reading mine of course! Thanks to major server and DNS issues, I am a bit slow ;)  I nearly divorced the internet today, but that is a whole other post.

It has been awhile since we have had a Sydney Bloggers Meet. Thanks to the fabulous Danimezza, we had an awesome meet at the Lindt Cafe Darling Harbour who were wonderful hosts by the way, the staff were amazing! All thanks to Nuffnang for sponsoring the event.

I went home on a sugar high, I have never consumed so much sweet stuff in one sitting IN MY LIFE..and I defiantly woke up with a sugar hangover today. It was certainly worth it, yummies and great company as well.

There were macaroons…SOOO many macaroons. I was pleased that there were quite a few of us how were macaroon virgins. My fav was the strawberry..nom! That was until I got home and found there were hot cross bun macaroons in our goodie bag, they were even better!

Cake!

Cookies and Cream ice cream was AWESOME!

Of course, there were lots of pics..it took a few minutes of snapping before anyone was allowed to touch the food ;)

There were goodie bags and bunny ears to take home. Can you spot the special bunny with their ears on backwards, thanks Rah!

Thanks again to Danimezza, the Lindt Cafe Darling Harbour and Nuffnang…and of course all the wonderful girls for coming along and making a great evening. Can’t wait for the next one!

I think I’ve Lost my Voice

blink,blink,blink…..the cursor flashes in the stark add new post box. Ceiling cat knows how many times I have sat here staring at it lately (or fallen a sleep face first into my laptop..which is exactly what happened last night).

I’ve made plenty of posts in my head, but I just can’t seem to get them out…I just don’t seem to have the words. Even posting this has taken 2 days.

The last 12mths interneting (it is too a word!) has been hard. Starting full-time work..juggling that and 3 kids is tough. And spending all day at work online, and working on sites and content…it can be the last thing you want to do when you get home. So other than a bit of surfing, shopping and tweeting, I’ve neglected [tooltip text="All for Women"]every[/tooltip] [tooltip text="Blog Chicks"]thing[/tooltip].

I lost my rhythm, my nerve, my confidence. Always second guessing, and talking myself out of posting this or that. And I just feel down right lazy.

It’s not that I don’t want to..I just don’t know how to get my voice and my motivation back…is it even possible?

Everyone makes it looks so easy, I remember when it was that easy. So why was has it become so painfully hard?

I set my desk buddy Cameron up blogging a few months ago, he is going great guns. I want to punch him, more than usual, when I see him bash out a post in 10mins..sometimes even 2.

I feel a bit of a fraud calling myself a blogger these days.

How do you know when it’s time to give up?

I love this poster, but I can’t work out which side I am on.

Reading back over this post, sounds a lot like excuses thought…doesn’t it.

Have you ever lost your blogging voice, did you find it again?

Dear Mr Red And Yellow M&M..I am disappoint!

m&ms are awesome!! I am not a huge chocolate fan, but they are defiantly my chocolate of choice.  Just the regular ones though, don’t mind the peanut ones…but crispy? Does anyone actually like them? Despite my love of these little these little guys, I have a serious beef with the wondrous makers of m&ms.

Why on earth do we not have Peanut butter m&Ms in Australia….for the love of ceiling cat WHY?!?!

I think we need to petition Mars to start selling these babies here. They are, in my opinion THE best m&m there is, and we are deprived..and it’s just not fair dammit *stamps foot*. You’d all buy them, right? Surely they would sell more than the stupid crispy ones?

Have you tried them, you agree with me right? If you haven’t..you must, well, unless you have a peanut allergy, then it probably isn’t a good idea.

Damn you greedy Americans *shakes fist* We do have one thing going for us though, you regular m&ms..and all your chocolate for that matter.. tastes like shit!

I hate how we are always missing out on all the good stuff here in Australia :( Is there something you love that we can’t get here?
