Perfect pancake recipe

Mcdonald’s hotcakes…Mmmmm pancakes *insert drooling*

Ever wanted to recreate them at home? Well now you can!

I finally got around to trying this recipe on the weekend, it was very similar to my regular recipe..but some tweaking..and adding vanilla O M G they totes taste just like McDonald’s hotcakes!

Many thanks to the lovely Liss at Frills in the Hills, you should totes jump over and check out her other amazing recipes!

But..onto the pancakes..

What you’ll need….
2 cups plain flour
2 tb caster sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarb soda
1 tsp salt
600ml buttermilk (i.e. one carton)
80g butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs

Method:
Put your buttermilk into your bowl. Then add your sifted dry ingredients and melt the butter. Beat with an electric mixer until the mix is fluffy.

Please don’t tell me you need guided instructions on how to actually cook them?

I doubled the recipe, cause my lot are pancake pigs. Serve with butter and maple syrup, although my fave pancake topping is dulche de leche (or Top N Fill)

Don’t forget to check out Frills in the Hills, she even made her own oreos!

Pawdicure

Will admit, one of the first things I thought on our drive home with Sookie was that I couldn’t wait to paint her nails. Not being a stranger to giving pawdicures.

She looks good in OPI Absolutely Alice..no?

Crazy cat lady

I’m not ashamed to admit it, tho sometimes I think maybe I should be selective with how much I admit LOL

We only have 3 cats at the moment, people seem to think that is a lot and are a little surprised when I say ONLY 3. I tend to think it isn’t enough..well not right at this moment as we a dealing with the crazy that is a new puppeh. Kitteh are SOOO much easier. But, I tend to think about 4-5 is a nice number…1 cat per person. I think the most we have ever had is 9 (4 adults and a litter of meezers) back when we had a brief thought being a reg breeder would be a great idea.

In the office yesterday and co-worker was browsing Catch of the Day, and loling at the pet prams they have..telling everyone in the office to come check it out…OMG who would buy that.

Umm…I knew all too well who would buy that….

Crazy cat lady

yup…me! There goes trying to act like some semblance of a normal, balanced person. In my defence, I haven’t actually taken them out for a walk in it …..yet, just made the kids do it. But we have plans to once Sookie is allowed out and about when her vaccinations are up to date.

Sookie doesn’t mind the pram, and the children don’t seem to get why we can’t take her to the shops in it. “Why not, she’s a baby..like all the other babies in prams at the shops?”. Oh my poor children, I am so sorry..I will start saving for your therapy now. It’s too late for me.

Snuggies from Iceland

Hattip to Suze for sending in this bit of noice. If you have anything you reckon we could feature on That’s Noice, let us know.

Lets face it, snuggies have to be one of THE most unstylish fashion items even invented.

Well, those crazy folks from Iceland have their own snuggie, the seal pelt that seems to be a little more funky..if your into seals anyway. Though they look a bit more like penguins to me?

Might be a bit more $$ than the infommercial snuggie, from what I can work out on the site they are about $270AU. But I reckon these look perfect to stuff a kitteh or 3 in for a snuggle and some TV.
